About
Measuret comes from Multitek Technologies, a New Delhi company working in metrology, optical inspection and measurement systems. It is one product in a family, and it is deliberately the narrow one.
Measuret is derived from Multitek WMS Essentials, a larger inspection application. A great deal of what that product does — weld inspection, image stitching, extended depth of field, morphological image processing — is irrelevant to a workshop that simply needs to measure geometry on an image and print a report.
Carrying features you do not use is not free. It is more to learn, more to go wrong, and more surface for an operator to get lost in on a Tuesday afternoon. Measuret keeps the measurement engine and the reporting, and leaves the rest out.
That is the whole idea. It is not a trial version of something bigger, and the features it lacks are not coming later. It measures geometry on images, properly.
How it is built
These are not marketing positions. They are constraints the code is held to, and you can see the consequences on screen.
Measurements are held in the source image's own coordinates and converted through the calibration. What the screen is doing — zoom, pan, window size — never enters the arithmetic. A value cannot change because somebody resized a window.
Every edit is validated and committed as a whole, or rejected without leaving anything half-changed. Everything is undoable. There is no state that exists only because an operation failed halfway.
Excel and PDF are produced from the same measurement data and the same column policy, so the two formats cannot disagree. The report does not read the screen; it reads the document.
Traceability
Multitek Calibration Pvt. Ltd. (MCPL) provides the traceability chain for Multitek instruments and is NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited.
That matters for image measurement more than for most instruments, because an imaging system's accuracy rests on a scale factor somebody derived from an artefact. If the artefact is not traceable, nothing downstream of it is either.
